Conveyancing in Scotland on the increase

Figures show that the upsurge in conveyancing is stretching across much of the UK, with transactions in Edinburgh and surrounding area showing a 47 per cent rise in the final quarter 2012.

The jump in conveyancing activity was the highest seen since six years and was complemented by a 26.5 per increase in the number of homes coming to the market according to the Glasgow Solicitors Property Centre.

Unlike England and Wales, Scotland’s residential sales market requires vendors to commission Home Reports, akin to the much maligned Home Information Pack.
